April 25-May 2, 2005
We've begun Taurus, the peak fertility of midspring, with the full moon in Scorpio, the magnetism of peak feeling. This week the moon (heart) releases its charged spirit as it goes down to the bottom of our seasonal cycle and rebounds with primal constructiveness.
Monday the moon is still in Scorpio's concentrating emotion. With Saturn in Cancer (grounding in flowing emotion) and Uranus in Pisces (wisdom in resolving emotion), all three water signs are anchored, giving us a solid core of feeling. Tuesday and Wednesday the moon settles down to warm, adventurous Sagittarius. Passionate mind is tense with loving creativity (Mercury in Aries opposite Jupiter in Libra). Thursday we awaken with the moon (heart spirit) receiving a kick of earth power as it moves into practical Capricorn, reinforcing the solid Taurus sun.
Friday tension breaks open between fertile love and visionary dreams (Venus in Taurus square Neptune in Aquarius), just as the moon progresses into spacy, mentally isolating Aquarius for the weekend. Active, motivating Mars moves into tender Pisces Saturday night. The tide of spring's power is building, and the heart's alignment with deep feeling (Neptune) at the center of alignment in awareness Sunday is preparation for powerful emergence next week.
We are on our way to the Taurus new moon (May 8) and the undeniable manifestation of earthy fertility, a festival of flower power
April 18-25, 2005
We're moving into the middle month of spring, the peak of earthy fertility. This year it comes with powerful awareness of love and dreams.
Monday is the last day of Aries, the individual passion that begins spring. The moon (heart spirit) is in Leo, midsummer's radiant expression. Tuesday we awaken with the moon in Virgo for a couple days of fruitful practicality. Late Tuesday the vitality of the sun progresses into Taurus for a month of solid earth power manifestation.
Midday Thursday the moon crosses into Libra's awareness of harmony, where it meets expansive Jupiter on Friday. With the sun, led by Venus, the light of love and beauty, in fertile Taurus, we're growing strong in desire for what truly fills our flowering hearts. Saturday night the moon is drawn into the magnetic vortex of intensely feeling Scorpio, where it will be full on Sunday.
Our soul is solid with the fertility of the earth and our heart is full in an ocean of emotion.
April 4-11, 2005
We've reached the Aries new moon, the first of the spring, where many cultures celebrate the new year of fertility and fruitfulness.
Over the past weekend mind, beauty, and soul (Mercury, Venus, and the sun) together in the passion of early spring (Aries) were charged and released by expansiveness in love-mindedness (opposite Jupiter in Libra). This week begins with the moon (heart sensitivity) peaking in mentally isolating Aquarius, putting us in the middle of life's interconnectedness. Tuesday it moves on into the tender vulnerability of Pisces for a couple of days.
Thursday morning the moon emerges into spring energy, Aries, where it will meet the sun (new moon) on Friday. With Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto (mind, creativity, and power) all retrograde/internalizing and active Mars aligning with dreamy Neptune at mid-Aquarius, the heart of awareness, this first new moon of spring comes with a big undertow, making for a powerful spark of spring fire ready to go. Saturday the moon progresses into the peak earthiness of Taurus, where the sun is headed next month. It might get brittle and testy by Sunday.
Mercury is getting to the end of its three weeks backtracking and internalizing, slowing to a stop deep within us. Next Tuesday the tide of mind and communication will start to flow forward and outward again, and with it, the passion of this well-launched spring, is likely to be directly expressed.
March 28-April 4, 2005
We continue in Aries, the passion of early spring. The week starts with the recently full Moon (heart) in Scorpio, the magnetic intensity of peak sensitivity. It's taking us down to the bottom of things by the end of the week. Deep power Pluto is internalizing (retrograde) there, anchoring us, and the mental tide (Mercury) is also turning inward, giving pause and reflection to the flow of thought and communication. If we accept this at every moment it will work for us.
Tuesday afternoon the moon moves from the peak emotion of Scorpio to the resolving passion of Sagittarius. At the same time, retrograde Mercury (mental processing), which led the way into spring like a scout, now falls back into alignment with the Sun (soul vitality) in the fire of Aries, just as Venus (the light of love and beauty) catches up from behind and steps out to lead the way. They are exactly opposite expansive Jupiter in the love awareness of Libra, charging them with intensity.
Thursday the moon meets heavy Pluto down at the low point of our seasonal cycle. Thursday night it hits bottom, moving into the primal earthiness of Capricorn. Friday, the Capricorn moon reaches the midpoint between Jupiter in Libra and the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Aries, charging with intensity, releasing an earthy powerfulness Friday night. Saturday Venus (beauty) peaks in tension and release with Jupiter (creativity), and Sunday the Sun (soul) does the same. By Sunday the moon has progressed into spacey, individualizing Aquarius. Next week is the Aries new moon.
March 21-28, 2005
We've crossed into Aries, the first month of spring. This year it began, over the weekend, with the moon (heart) in Leo, mid-summer's peak passion. Mercury, quick mental processing, which led the way into Aries like a scout, now has gone retrograde there, backtracking and internalizing. The mind responds to impulse by turning inward, deepening our solitary mental experience even as we move forward with the impulse of early spring. We must accept this and let it inform our spirit.
Monday night, Saturn, the thirty-year cycle centering/grounding influence, completes months of retrograde/backtracking in the emotional release of Cancer. Pulling at us from the middle of flowing feeling, Saturn has now ground to a stop at the deepest place inside us, demanding that we experience the source of true personal nurturance. From here it will start to flow forward and outward again. Tuesday, moon still in peak fire sign Leo, Venus, the light of love and beauty, right behind the sun, also crosses into Aries and early spring emergence. Internalizing mind (retrograde Mercury), soul vitality (sun), and beauty's love (Venus) have now all emerged, like dawn for the year, into the warm passion of early spring's morning light. Late Tuesday, the moon moves on into the ripening fruitfulness of Virgo, late summer in our seasonal cycle, for a few days of practical manifestation of all this new spring energy.
Before dawn on Friday, the moon (heart) crosses into Libra, the love awareness that colors early autumn, where it will be full, opposite the sun, at midday, growing in strength by Saturday. This year, big, expansive Jupiter is in Libra, reinforcing mindfulness of true harmony. With deep feeling 164-year cycle Neptune now at the midpoint of Aquarius, also, like Libra, an air sign, this full moon, the first of the new spring, is fed by creativity in love and dreams at the peak of awareness. And it is happening just as Pluto, deep, transformative power and expression, slows to an apparent stop, beginning to turn inward, in the warm, resolving passion of Sagittarius, down at the bottom of our natural seasonal cycle. We are anchored by deep power, mentally reflective, as the passion-charged heart is full in awareness of love.
March 14-21, 2005
It's the last week of winter, finishing sensitive Pisces. It begins with the moon (heart spirit) in earthy Taurus. By Sunday the sun will cross into spring, kicking off a new year of manifest fertility.
Monday starts off strong. The soul is vulnerable (sun in Pisces) and the heart is fertile (moon in Taurus). Creativity, internalizing in love (Jupiter retrograde in Libra), is blending with dreams at the peak of awareness (Neptune at mid-Aquarius). Tension is breaking between tender vitality (sun in Pisces) and passionate power (Pluto in Sagittarius). Beauty and grounding are blending in emotion (Venus trine Saturn in water signs).
Tuesday the spring energy moon rises to the lofty mentality of Gemini for a couple days of sensitive thinking. Late Thursday the moon spills over into the Cancer's releasing feeling. Love charged with deep power (Venus square Pluto) reaches the breaking point. A wave of emotion overwhelms our resistance. Saturday Mercury, mental quickness, having led the way into Aries/early spring, slows to an apparent stop, it's scouting job complete, and begins three weeks of apparent backtracking/internalizing. There's nothing wrong with this so long as we accept it, letting the mental tide turn inward and deepen as we move forward.
Sunday morning the sun crosses the equinox into Aries, the dawn of spring on our seasonal cycle, just as the moon reaches the peak passion of Leo's radiant expression. Sun and moon in fire signs, expansive Jupiter deepening in Libra's love, the Year of the Rooster is ready to crow.
March 7-14, 2005
We are moving through Pisces, emotional vulnerability. We begin the week with the moon (heart) in Aquarius, alignment in awareness amidst the pattern of life's interrelationship. With mental Mercury leading like a scout into Aries, the passion of early spring, thought and communication race ahead of lingering feeling, just as we're being drawn to the center of our selves.
Charging tension that's been building between action in constructiveness (Mars in Capricorn) and grounding in feeling (Saturn in Cancer) breaks out into the open, releasing its energy, on Monday. By Monday night the moon reaches the peak of awareness (mid-Aquarius), reinforced by the historic presence there of 164-year cycle Neptune, the pull of deepest feelings, along with this year's passage of expansive Jupiter through Libra's mindfulness of love. At a time of fragile sensitivity, the heart is awake, fed by deep dreams and loving creativity, activated by primal earthiness and flowing emotion.
Tuesday toward sunset the moon moves on to Pisces, where Wednesday, after meeting beauty (Venus) and wisdom (Uranus), it will blend with the sun for the Pisces new moon. Heart and soul are together in vulnerability at a time of grounding in feeling. Late Thursday the moon crosses into Aries, the spark of spring, where Friday it will meet Mercury's mental expression. Saturday night it progresses into the peak spring earth power of Taurus. Sunday, with the sun in precious Pisces and moon in fertile Taurus, creative Jupiter in loving Libra blends with dreamy Neptune in visionary Aquarius.
Slushy with feeling amidst intensified awareness, we are challenged to accept tenderness as the healthy foundation of manifest fruitfulness just around the corner.
February 28, 2005
This week the sun continues in sensitive Pisces while the moon gets down to the bottom of things. Last week mind aligned with wisdom in tenderness. Now it's love's turn.
The sun (soul vitality) is in the slushy emotion of late winter (Pisces), the vulnerable aftermath of recent isolating alignment under pressure. This past weekend the moon (heart sensitivity) was in Libra, awareness of love. Monday begins with it progressing into the magnetic intensity of Scorpio. Along with the sun in Pisces and Saturn, our centering/grounding influence, in Cancer (releasing feeling), all three of the water signs are anchored, creating a solid core of emotion, especially Tuesday.
Wednesday the moon moves on to Sagittarius, the warm passion at the bottom of our seasonal cycle. This often feels like a low ebb, but it's natural, part of settling with reality, especially during sensitive Pisces time. Action in constructiveness (Mars in Capricorn) is tense with creativity in love (Jupiter in Libra), peaking and releasing its charged energy early Thursday.
Friday, while the heart is dragging down, beauty (Venus) is aligning with wisdom (Uranus) in vulnerability (Pisces). By afternoon things start to shift. The moon hits bottom, rebounding with the primal earthiness of Capricorn, and Mercury, our quick mind, leads the way into Aries, the spark of spring passion. Saturday we awaken still sensitive (Pisces sun), but with a powerful, constructive spirit (Capricorn moon and Mars). Having survived an emotional drag, we may now be driven to act on our feelings. And with Mercury in Aries fire, we'll probably clearly express them.
February 21, 2005
We've entered Pisces, the tender sensitivity at the end of winter. It began on Friday, just as the moon crossed into Cancer, emotional release. Mercury and Uranus, immediate and deep mind, are also meeting in sensitive Pisces. Soul (sun), mind (Mercury) and wisdom (Uranus) are aligning in melancholy feeling. It's sweet, doesn't have to be sad, but it does pull us down to the ground of our tender depth.
Sunday night the moon (heart) progressed from Cancer's protective sensitivity to Leo's passionate expression, moving through it Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday the moon grows full in the ripening fruitfulness of Virgo, opposite the Pisces sun, the tender heart building to break-out on Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday, still in Virgo, the moon expresses a practical manifestation of released sensitivity. Thursday night the sun's vitality is exactly aligned with the deep, wise mind of Uranus in vulnerable Pisces.
By Friday night, and for the weekend, the moon crosses into Libra, awareness of love and harmony, meeting big, expansive Jupiter there Sunday morning. With Mercury (mind) blending with Saturn (grounding) in emotion, this is a time of precious, heartful feeling getting a hold of us for our own good.
For the Week of February 7-13, 2005
We have arrived at the Aquarius new moon, the mid-winter alignment in awareness. It has been especially powerful this year since Neptune, the pull of deepest feelings, has arrived there for the first time in 164 years and big, expansive Jupiter is adding its weight from Libra, mindfulness of love. The pressure of survival has forced us into our essential selves. In Aquarius, the liquidity of emotion is frozen into the solid structure of a six pointed snowflake, leaving us, if we allow it, centered in the space of intelligence amidst the pattern of life's interconnectedness. This is the test essential to our subsequent thriving: we must capitulate to the forces of nature, accepting alignment with awareness, in order to enjoy right relationship with all of creation.
The new moon on Tuesday February 8 is the seed germination turning point for this year. On Wednesday and Thursday the moon (heart sensitivity) steps out ahead of the sun (soul vitality) into Pisces, the tender thaw. Friday, and for the weekend, it emerges into the early spring energy of Aries, a preview of where we're headed. By the start of next week, Valentine's Day, the heart (moon) has grown strong in earthy fertility (Taurus), mind meets soul (Mercury conjunct sun) and love meets dreams (Venus conjunct Neptune) in visionary Aquarius. A new year of fruition has begun.
For the Week of January 31-February 6, 2005
We're being drawn deeper into the individualizing alignment in awareness that is the emphasis of Aquarius, mid-winter, on our way to the new moon of February 8, this year's seed germination turning point. As we are stripped of everything we can do without, reduced to the fertility of a solitary spark, it can be a challenging experience of isolation under pressure, the purification of our core essence. We must accept this time as a critical part of the seasonal process, a natural distillation that brings renewal and emergence with the coming spring.
This week begins with the moon, heart sensitivity, in Libra, mindfulness of love and harmony. Monday, the moon meets big, expansive Jupiter, this year also in Libra, just as it is slowing to an apparent stop, beginning five months of retrograde — internalizing, deepening. The shift of Mercury and Venus, mind and beauty, from earthy Capricorn to airy Aquarius, also reinforces the intensification of awareness as our underlying emphasis right now. Tuesday and Wednesday, the moon's sensitivity is drawn by the magnetic gravity of Scorpio, a vortex of concentrating emotion. This as the sun, our soul vitality, is reaching the mid-point of winter/Aquarius, and meeting Neptune, the 164-year cycle planet of dreams, deepest feelings, at that same place in the seasonal cycle. It should be a powerful, polarizing moment of tension building and breaking between the sun's vitality isolated in awareness and the moon's sensitivity charged with undeniable feeling.
Thursday and Friday, the emotion released, the heart settles down to the low ebb of the seasonal cycle, Sagittarius, resolving passion. Late Friday, heart sensitivity aligns with deep power and action expression (moon meets Pluto and Mars) dragging down to the ground of things, before hitting bottom Saturday morning and crashing/rebounding in Capricorn's primal earthiness. Sunday morning, impulsive Mars, on its two-year cycle, also shifts into Capricorn, adding its active energy to the moon spirit's empowered constructiveness. We are now on approach to the heart/soul convergence at the center of awareness, the Aquarius new moon, on Tuesday, February 8. That will begin the Year of the Rooster. Get out your colors, the love parade is about to begin.
